The search for new stand up talent begins once again! Following the runaway success of the inaugural Comedy Crash Course in Cambodia back in February 2013, which spawned the now thriving open mic scene here, Irish comic Aidan Killian will return to Phnom Penh in the New Year to conduct another course for a fresh batch of folk wanting to overcome their fear of public speaking in one of the most challenging ways possible. Aidan has guided hundreds of people through his comedy course in destinations all over the world and is now going to instruct eight Cambodia-based people in a weekend of sessions, teaching them the skills of a stand up comedian. This will be an intense life-changing experience. Prepare to be challenged, prepare to have fun and prepare to release your own unique sense of humour to a live audience and enjoy making them laugh. The date proposed for this course is around the weekend of January 16-18. Venues and times are to be confirmed and entrance fees are set at US$100 per person – an extremely generous discount to the usual charge of the course. Proceeds from ticket sales on the night of the performance will be donated to a local charity, also to be confirmed. If you are interested, please get in contact with Aidan at [email protected] or Dan at dmriley440@gmail to reserve a place on the course. Do this now, as places will need to be filled as soon as possible. Please check out this youtube video of the 2013 show or even better, get a personal appraisal of the course from one of the eight participants – Sam Thomas, Scotty Muldoon, Evan Handed, Laura Snook, Ryan B, Alex Hales, David Haskel and Ramon Stoppelenburg – some of which are still performing comedy to this very day!
