The seventh blessed characteristic is: 9Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God. •A peacemaker finds win-win solutions, a spirit of submission; apologizes, forgives, shows empathy and sympathy; the ability to mutually experience the thoughts, emotions, and direct experience of others, a feeling of concern and understanding; always willing to compromise. •One who makes peace, a state of harmony; a state of tranquility, calmness, agreement; composing differences or a treaty to end hostilities; freedom from quarrels, violence and disagreements; one who can back down and let go; humble and meek; not puffed up with pride or arrogant; but modest; showing proper behavior; a self-respecting person. •One who loves peace and pursues peace. Romans 14:19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another. Hebrews 12:14Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. True Wisdom from Above James 3:13-18 13Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. 14But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. 15This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. 16For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. 17But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. 18And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace. Turn from Evil 1 Peter 3:8-11 8Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: 9Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing. 10For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: 11Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it. •The pure in heart is able to bring about peaceful solutions. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is The Prince of Peace. Born again Christians are given a new character-a new heart after the image of our Heavenly Father. God is thus seen and therefore reflected in them; these peacemakers are recognized as the children of God. 1 John 3: 2 2 Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see Him as He is. Jesus says in John 14:27Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. 19 Then He said to them, “Follow Me, Matthew 4:19 For they shall be called sons of God
