The shelter said of Cara: “Cara was fearful and repeatedly - TopicsExpress

The shelter said of Cara: “Cara was fearful and repeatedly attempted to get away from the handler during the assessment.” Did they ever consider that her fear might be the cause of her railing against being harnessed and examined? Cara is classified as a pit bull mix but you can clearly see the strong influence of other breeds in her. Cara’s only 1-year old and she weighs just 43-pounds. It’s no wonder that Cara coveted the bowl of moist food that she was given and that she growled at the gnarled piece of plastic that was used to try to separate her from her food. A dog can’t speak with words so she warns people that she’s uncomfortable through a growl or a snap. Cara has not bitten anyone and the family that turned her in as a stray commented on what a playful and nice dog she is. Cara is clearly uncomfortable in the shelter and she’s going to be a basket case when they bring her to the Euthanasia Room tomorrow. Our only hope is that someone will read this and show mercy to Cara by bringing her to a safe new home. Cara is a New Hope Only adoption. https://facebook/Urgentdeathrowdogs/photos/a.611290788883804.1073741851.152876678058553/882608475085366/?type=3&theater
