The so-called Controversy regarding the Library Access to the Undergraduate girls and its biased coverage by the media is very unfortunate. People criticizing VC are shamelessly dragging the whole institution into the controversy. The VC on his part gave clarification on his statements more than once. People who don’t have any idea of Problems, Situations and Environment of AMU are giving their “Expert Comments” on the issue they know nothing about. The prejudice of ignorant minds is on display and it shows their ill intent. But we still don’t know how to defend ourselves; we don’t know what should be our point of view on the matter. Do we want to have a serious discussion on all these issues? Is there a room for improvement for overall treatment of students both male and female? There are questions which we have to address ourselves while we are fighting with the “biased media fraction, their supporters and their backers” As an Old Boy of AMU and a Khudai Khidmatgar, I’m with my brothers and sisters in this fight…but the real fruit of this AMU Spring would be a better environment for the students not for the politicians.
