The story of (news from trustworthy) with the two great scholars Muhammad bin Ibraheem and Ibn Baaz- Allaahs mercy be upon them-. Praise is to Allaah, and peace and blessing be upon the Messenger of Allaah. To proceed, While I was viewing the article of the ‘Al-llaamah Muhammad Haaimd Al-Fiqee rahimahul-llaah in tafseer of An-Nahl, a side title within the tafseer called (a wonder) attracted me. So I read and I was terrified with the speech written by the Shaykh, and I was amazed from the incident that agonized the ‘Al-llaamah Al-Fiqee and has almost destroyed him [his reputation] in front of the two Imaam Muhammad bin Ibraheem Aal Ash-Shaykh and his student Abdul-Azeez bin Baaz- Allaah’s mercy be upon them-. As soon as I finished reading the article, I opened the computer and copied the story of Shaykh Al-Fiqhee to share it with you, I saw it an obligation upon me to disseminate this valuable benefit to my noble scholars so that they remember and remind, and to my brothers, the students of knowledge so that they be aware. He- Shaykh Al-Fiqee- rahimahul-llaah said: Amazing is, the time I arrived to Makkah on my recent Hajj trip, I went to the grand mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi, and its reverend scholar Shaykh Muhammad bin Ibraaheem to give him salaam, and once I shook his hand he said to me: Is it true what (Fulaan) who was in Egypt shortly before the Hajj told me about you? I said: and what is that? He said: he said that you said on the pulpit, on a Friday: “the Qru’aan is not the speech of Allaah, it is the speech of Muhammad”. For a moment, I felt that the land beneath me is shaking vigorously, and the noble Shaykh Abdul-Azeez bin Baaz, the teacher at the scientific institution in Riyadh, was present in the sitting, and he also said: Me too, (Fulaan) told me this saying. The shaking of land increased, not only from the severity of accusation, but also from the fact that this crime occurred from this Fulaan whom I used to think good of him, and I thought his age and his claim of spreading Salafiyyah would prevent him from making up this dirty slander against whom he is with in Egypt inseparably like his shadow. I did not know what answer should I give to those two great and noble scholars, I asked them for confirmation and they confirmed to me the speech. [Then] I asked them: so how did you receive this speech? They said: we disapproved it totally, and we asked him: Did you hear that from him with your ears? And he said: no, it was rather conveyed to me with tawaatur! [Number of men conveying from number of men]. We said to him: how many persons told you and what are their names? He said: many, but he did not name any of those many, so our disapproval of such speech increased, and we interpreted the matter that perhaps this Fulaan who is narrating is suffering from effects of his senility that which makes him excused. I said: verily, repelling this dirty slander can be by despising it and those who invented it or its narrator, and he will have his just recompense on the day people stand up for the Lord of every living and that which exists. Truly, no possessor of sanity would accept a doubt regarding whom his preoccupation is calling to the Qur’aan and Sunnah and whom all his lessons, lectures and sermons are based on the Qur’aan, let alone this dirty slander. Allaah is my suffice and He is the Best Disposer of affairs. Then I met this Fulaan and asked him: did you convey this statement from me to the two scholars? He said: yes. I said to him: did you hear it from me? He said: no, but it was conveyed to me. I said to him: was it not incumbent upon you to ask me about it or advise me hence you are a Muslim? He went silent. I said to him: was I not with you until you took the plane to Juddah? He said: yes. I said to him: yet, you did not speak to me about this evil statement until you went and disclosed it to the two scholars? Incumbent upon you and incumbent that you seek forgiveness from Allaah and repent to him from this trait which is not befitting for a Muslim, if you were truly vigilant on the Qru’aan and fearful that people have doubts about it, it was upon you to advise me or come to the Masjid or the building of Jamaa’ah and advise me, but you did not do any of that, which proves that you either have an evil intent or you are extremely heedless. Allaah is my suffice and He is the Best Disposer of affairs, I make Allaah the witness that you deliberately spread the disbelief about me and I free myself from that. I bear witness that I have believed in His book which He revealed as a clarification of every matter, guidance, mercy and glad tidings to the Muslims, and that whoever doubts a word or a letter from it, then Islam is free from him. And I seek refuge to Allaah from the evil and from uttering it, and from telltale and talebearers, and I ask Allaah to make me from his believing servants whom He defends, and to keep me firm with the words that stand firm in this world and in the Hereafter. Indeed, He is an excellent Patron and an excellent Helper, and an excellent accountant and an excellent Watcher and an excellent Witness. Allaah’s peace and blessing be upon His Servant and Messenger Muhammad, and his entire household. Written by Muhammad Haamid Al-Fiqee, Al-Hadee An-Nabawee magazine, third edition of year 1374, article (tafseerul-qur’aanil-hakeem, p 13-14 I (author) said: How plenty are people of fitan who are preoccupied with it has been said and he said, who are doing their utmost to demolish efforts within the Salafi da’wah and to drop its noble scholars who spend their whole life teaching the sons of Sunnah. An insignificant person who lacks knowledge or an ignorant person who just started adhering to uprightness or an individual who was until recently associating with a deviant group and just been guided to Salafiyyah would convey evil tales to an ignorant who pretends to be knowledgeable and whom has some followers, or convey it to a noble scholar who possesses the heedlessness of righteous ones after he gains his trust! So he would say: O Shaykh Fulaan is praising the innovators, and he is antagonizing us, and he is doing such and such ect! Then he would play extracted clips or read to him excerpted articles, as a result the concerned Shaykh would believe him then warn against the concerned individual. Then, the dull claimant of knowledge would warn against this Salafi Shaykh/caller and drop him without verifying, merely based on his whim. And all of that play into the hands of opposers, such as liberalists, Raafidhah, innovators, Ikhwaanis, Qutbis and their protagonists. So be aware and be aware my brothers from fitan, do not be haste and verify and think good of your brothers and scholars, and ponder properly the stance of the two great scholars Muhammad bin Ibraaheem and Abdul-Azeez bin Baaz. And follow those who died for that the living ones are not saved from fitan. I ask Allaah to unite us and strengthen us, and to make us victorious over our enemies, verily He is capable of that. Allaah’s peace and blessing be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his honorable household. Authored by Abu Umar Al-Athari.
