The thing that is not being talked about is that it is going to be very hard for any american to stand up to an aggressor like Putin after the disaster that was the Bush presidency. Cheney went to the CIA over and over and over until he got just what he wanted, a fabricated reason to sell to the american public and government to convince us to let them invade a country that had nothing to do with attacking the US. They did this for nothing more than so Halliburton and select others could steal billions from the American tax payers. This fact is not lost on the rest of the world. Who can take the US seriously when we scold other countries for doing the same things our dumbest president did himself? So far, Putin is not responsible for the deaths of thousands of his own troops, nor over a million citizens or a country who never attacked Russia. Who is on higher ground, and who is to say? I think the Bush administration should be tried for war crimes in international court, and until that happens, I dont see how we can seriously take the high ground here.
