The world will celebrate Earth Day tomorrow. The very first Earth Day took place on 22nd April 1970 when a total of 20 million Americans from all walks of life were widely credited for launching this modern environmental movement. Earth Day Network (EDN) grew from this initiative and has gone on to work with over 22,000 partners in 192 countries to broaden, diversify and mobilize the environmental movement. More than 1 billion people now participate in Earth Day activities each year, making it the largest civic observance in the world.
