There are a couple of huge derbies in J1 today, with the Tamagawa Clasico (Kawasaki Frontale v. FC Tokyo) and Osaka Derby (Gamba Osaka v. Cerezo Osaka) both taking place! Heres the full fixture list... (All games marked (LIVE!) are being broadcast live worldwide. Check your local TV guides to find out which channel they are on in your area!) Nagoya Grampus v. Ventforet Kofu – Mizuho Athletics Stadium, Saturday 3pm Grampus are now unbeaten in four games after they beat Yokohama F.Marinos 2-0 in Round 23 thanks to Kengo Kawamata and Kensuke Nagai’s goals. Kofu were also celebrating all three points last time out, Kohei Morita’s solitary strike enough to make sure of a 1-0 win over Sagan Tosu. Will either team be claiming another victory from this encounter? Gamba Osaka v. Cerezo Osaka – Banpaku Stadium, Saturday 4pm (LIVE!) Gamba moved up into fifth place on the back of their 1-0 win over Sanfrecce Hiroshima last Saturday – Takashi Usami with the winning goal. Cerezo come into this derby on the back of a victory as well – their first in 12 J1 games – after Kenyu Sugimoto and Ryo Nagai struck to down Kashiwa Reysol 2-0 last Saturday. Can either side claim local bragging rights this weekend? Kashima Antlers v. Yokohama F.Marinos – Kashima Soccer Stadium, Saturday 7pm (LIVE!) Kashima’s title challenge suffered a hiccup last time out as they fell to a 2-1 defeat away to Omiya Ardija – Gen Shoji with their ultimately futile strike. Marinos also lost their last league game, going down 2-0 at home to a resurgent Nagoya Grampus. Will either side bounce back with a victory on Saturday? Urawa Reds v. Kashiwa Reysol – Saitama Stadium, Saturday 7pm Urawa remain top of J1 and scored four goals for the third J1 game in a row in Round 23 as Ryota Moriwaki, Tadanari Lee, Tomoaki Makino’s strikes and an own goal downed Shimizu S-Pulse 4-1. Reysol’s chances of catching Reds at the summit took a major hit as they went down 2-0 to Cerezo Osaka. Can they make up the shortfall a little when the teams come head-to-head in Round 24? Kawasaki Frontale v. FC Tokyo – Todoroki Stadium, Saturday 7pm (LIVE!) Frontale kept up the pressure on league leaders Urawa Reds as they cruised past Tokushima Vortis in Round 23 – An Byong-jun, Yu Kobayashi, Renato, and Jeci finding the net. FC Tokyo are now unbeaten in 11 but have drawn six of them – including the last three – after they tied Vissel Kobe 1-1 last Saturday, Edu with their goal. Will there be anything between these two here? Vissel Kobe v. Shimizu S-Pulse – Kobe University Stadium, Saturday 7pm Marquinhos’ first goal in six games secured a point for Vissel Kobe last weekend as they drew 1-1 away to FC Tokyo. Shimizu are slipping towards the relegation battle though and Yasuhiro Hiraoka’s goal was nothing but a consolation in a 4-1 defeat to Urawa Reds in Round 23. How will things pan out when these two come head-to-head on Saturday? Sanfrecce Hiroshima v. Albirex Niigata – Edion Stadium, Saturday 7pm Two-time defending champions Sanfrecce Hiroshima all but dropped out of the title race for this season last weekend as they lost 1-0 at home to Gamba Osaka. Albirex were picking up three points for the first time in three games in Round 23 though, Leo Silva with the only goal in a 1-0 win over Vegalta Sendai. Can they further derail Sanfrecce’s title defence here? Tokushima Vortis v. Omiya Ardija – Naruto Otsuka Pocari Sweat Stadium, Saturday 7pm Tokushima’s battle to survive an instant return to J2 took another knock in the last round as they were comprehensively swept aside 4-0 by Kawasaki Frontale. Omiya did their hopes of completing another great escape plenty of good though as they battled to a 2-1 win over Kashima Antlers. Can either side edge any closer to the safety zone with all three points from this encounter? Sagan Tosu v. Vegalta Sendai – Best Amenity Stadium, Saturday 7pm Tosu’s unlikely title challenge took a big blow in Round 23 as they lost 1-0 away to Ventforet Kofu. Vegalta Sendai were also on the wrong end of the result the last time they took to a J1 pitch, and their 1-0 defeat to Albirex Niigata was a third consecutive loss. Will either side recover in time to celebrate victory this weekend?
