There are no words to adequately express the incredible out - TopicsExpress

There are no words to adequately express the incredible out pouring of love I have received. Thanks to my wonderful friends at the Groton Growers Farmers Market, for your card and generous gifts of food and money. You are all on my post cast list. A very special thanks to Donna Bayar Repsher and John for shlepping me back and forth to the hospital, and staying while the doc and staff x-rayed my arm and put on a new cast. As if this were not enough, helped with errands and cooked a delicious meal for us. Hope your anniversary dinner was great. Thank you Louise for bringing us your baked chicken and my Trendy Times colleague, Rob, for driving down from Mountain Lakes to check on me, help Sean take the air conditioners out of the windows, and taking him grocery shopping. I am overwhelmed and humbled by the response of my FB family and friends, especially those who I may never meet.Your prayers, positive healing thoughts are working their magic. Please keep them coming. Thanks Sandi Wiley Adams for checking in. Dont worry, there is still plenty of chain for you to yank...enjoy the peaceful market while you can, as I am going to try to vend in Oct...definitely in Nov. Saving the best for last: My husband, Sean has been a rock. Hes doing the cooking under my instructions, and pretty much whatever I cant manage. He is even learning to color my boards, and has taken over the fund raising to get The Mollie Chronicles in print. Thanks so much for the help we are receiving. He has been more patient than I deserve. Those who know me also know that patience is not my long suit. He postponed a Coumadin check appt. Will try to get him a ride to Lyme next week. Not being able to drive really sucks! No post is complete without mentioning my sweet, snuggle buggle, Mollie, whose puppy kisses dried a few tears and made my heart smile. UPDATE: Doc looked at the x-ray and without actually calling me an old bag of broken bones, told me that while I am no where close to being out of the woods, my arm, after just 4 days in the full cast, is showing signs of healing in alignment...all three breaks! Said this type of healing is unusual in someone of my age. They removed the full fiberglass cast and replaced it with a shorter, heavier plaster hanging gravity cast. If the arm continues to heal in alignment, no surgery will be needed. He said this would be major 3+ hours with no guaranty against nerve damage or infection. Will do everything possible to avoid this. The cast is from my wrist to just below the elbow with a compression stocking on my upper arm. This leaves my hands free to work on my cutting boards for the Oct. 4 festival. My right hand is badly swollen, and although I have pain, I feel that I am on the mend. I go back on Oct. 17 for an off cast x-ray and another new cast. Once again thank you all. May the God of the Universe be ever gracious to you and yours, and keep us all in His Sacred Circle of Love.
