There are very few photos taken from the land on Cabbage Tree Island. It is quite difficult to get onto the island as there is no beach or good landing area. I have only 4 photos that are about 20 years old. Pic 1 is the cabbage tree forest on the western side of the island- the side that faces Yacaaba and Hawks Nest Beach. This is the area that the endangered birds nest, in the leaf litter. Pic 2 is a kelp lined cleft on the northern side of the island where the fairy penguins come in to breed.
