There is no way to describe the Bill Cosby situation except as a tragedy, first for the victims, and secondly for the public who he deceived. Cosby it seems, and he does deserve his day in court, is the consummate Hollywood actor that has manipulated his image to portray himself as the cleanest and most trustworthy comedian out there; mores the pity. I grew on Cosby, the albums, the cartoons and of course. The tv shows. By these betrayals he has first betrayed women in his trust, which is despicable and if he is guilty he needs to be tried, convicted and sentenced. Secondly he has violated generations of people who took him into his heart as part of our national cultural heritage. Will I listen to my albums again, perhaps. If I do however, it will never be the same for that childhood innocence will be forever shattered. What saddens me most is he is not out there defending himself, proclaiming his innocence. Cos, why? You had everything; our love, our admiration and our laughter. Thats all gone now, and it can never come back.
