There was a lot of natives I have never seen in my dream last night. One of them was an elder woman who at one point told me to take her older mom somewhere as she was unable to do it on her own. It seemed odd to me because Im a stranger to these native women and you think theyd want someone familiar to do whatever it is with her mom. The woman looked serious as if she was testing me. Being that I respect my elders and all women with the highest regards I didnt ask questions or hesitate and took on the task as the older woman grabbed my arm to move forward. Her mom was fragile and couldnt walk properly on her own. I could feel her struggling to do such a task that we take for granted. I wasnt sure where I was taking her and I was kind of lost. I realized quickly though that she needed to use the washroom and that is where I needed to take her. Despite the realities of what that entails I was willing and up to the task because I believe I was put here to help all others, that is where my heart is. She seemed lost and was trying to go before we even got downstairs but I did my best to do what was asked of me. I think this dream means that our elders need us young men and women to listen to them. To give them a chance to share their knowledge and responsibilities of their traditional knowledge with us. To make their time here purposeful and not taken for granted. Otherwise just like us spiritually without our culture, they will be lost also. The older woman represented our ancestors. Their spirits and legacy need us to pick up the true ways of our culture so they can exist comfortably and happily while watching over us. Our elders and our ancestors need us young people to start our Red Road walks and to do it responsibly. I know it is what I am meant to do. The call they sent will not be ignored. I hope you hear this and start seeking the wisdom of the wise ones. You can even start by searching native clans, native teachings, and other things online. There is where the true answers to life and our time here lye.
