There was a time, really not so long ago I wanted to stop. Stop - TopicsExpress

There was a time, really not so long ago I wanted to stop. Stop being a doer. It was the ache. The ache that caught up with my pain threshold. It wasnt the Haters, it wasnt the harsh words printed or media, but it was the sight. The sight that I cannot do much about. Too many of them really. Kids, elderly, poverty and the latest was a photo sent by medical friend showed to me what hunger looks like in the land of plenty here in Malaysia. I really want to stop. And really head to Pavilion and sit down for coffee over no project meeting at all! Or looking into my phone. Or watch a movie in a cinema (last was 2 years). Or join a class learning tap dancing (always wanted to try). But everytime I thought of that, I feel ashamed. In 2002, Elton John did a remake of his Your Song during World Cup as one of their promo songs. It was simply beautiful and heart wrenching as well. Its about kids and child labour. And it gets me everytime I watch it. It makes me feel like bucking up and continue the loooong meeting plannings to bring change. Works everytime, well after I cry myself to sleep that is. To those reading this, I ask nicely to watch it till the end, there are cameos of David Beckham, Muhammad Ali among others but the best are the pictures of real children all over the world with hopeful eyes. Really good video. I urged Malaysian videographers to do the same. Hehehe. Sorry. Anyway, please watch it. They dont ask for sympathy, they ask you Ngi to be a doer. Do something. Dont just like or give stagnant immobile phrases. Comment something doable like lets have a carnival at a nearby construction site where there are kids or something. Or for the homeless kids (Contact Need to Feed the Need NFN, maybe they can give ideas, by the way many amazing soup kitchen can give ideas on street kids) or something like that. But first, join me watch the video please. I am not giving up by the way, Allah grants me health to go through all the planning and execution stage, so I am grateful. And life feels complete. I received info on Orang Asli and it disturbs me a lot. Seriously I want to do something about it but I dont have trusted sources and team. Will look into it again. The organizing team for previous Harleys drop off were amazing. And it was expanding. I dare not write names here incase I missed anyone but u know who u are. Yup, it is actually ALL OF YOU. Thank you very much. I chat with most of you to find out your passion and those passion keeps me going. You guys are the right fuel to keep me sail through. Thank you. For those thinking of making a difference, find your mojo. I found mine, and its daily observations. Please watch this. Hope it would make a difference. As for me, am back at work till next week. Till next posting, Syed Azmi #tamakpahala
