There were 2 cats that were left outside PAWS door in carriers with a note and a donation. They are inside and safe. We understand the need to find a home for the kitties - its a bad idea to do it like this. Weve had this happen before and the outcome isnt always a good one. Two cats almost froze to death in the bitter cold of winter, they were taped in a cardboard box and left by our back door. In the hot summer, kittens left by our front door in the sun came close to dying of dehydration and heatstroke. On the days were closed, the volunteers dont always come at specific times and may not be there in time to save them. We have phone numbers to call that are posted on our door for when we are not open. If you need to get rid of your cats/kittens, please CALL us 860-480-1104 and we can make arrangements to help. We may not be able to help you immediately, right at the moment, but we do our best and can usually make accommodations within a very short time. We never want to see a cat/kitten dumped. We will ALWAYS take mothers/kittens. We want to ensure the reproductive cycle stops.
