They needed 11 people to get off due to heat and altitude. The flight wouldnt have been able to lift off. I felt that the safety of others and the crew was important so I volunteered to get off as well as Al Goldberg, Tema Tiller, Denise McLaughlin McDermott, and the mother and her children. We were promised flight voucher, meals (lunch, dinner and breakfast tomorrow), we were also told we were booked on the same flight (we were not as we found out by mistake). When we went to pick up our vouchers, they said we would not be vouchers for meals...of course I asked for supervisors. Then they gave us a voucher for $5 for lunch and $10 for dinner. The cheapest item on the menu was $7 chips and salsa. Ridiculous! I called US AIRWAYS and they said they couldnt do anything on the phone and that I would have to go back to the airport (are u kidding me). The hotel said they couldnt do anything because its the airlines responsibility, so Ive already wrote letters to the airline and we are making the best of it! We are NEA!!!!!!
