They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony... It has often been said to me you and your husband have a perfect marriage, which is an assertion I have always genuinely refuted. Over the past several months, the insertion of said phrase into conversation has proven to be rather awkward given the fact that I am now a divorcee. Today in response to a compliment on my perfect marriage, I politely advised that I was now divorced. The woman I was speaking with caught me totally off guard when she said the fact that she had never heard me say a disparaging or disrespectful word about my ex-husband was a testament of my strength, integrity, wisdom and character. I did my very best to honor God in my marriage and over the course my divorce; and, I will continue to do the same so that God may be gloried. For those of you going through a divorce or healing from one, be sure of this: God loves you! Seek His counsel, His guidance and His favor; prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for YOU].
