Thinking about representing the redskins mascot in court should it ever come about. As I spend my entire time and effort and sweat and tears and TIME convincing the judge the jury and committees and politicians and those Indians(which are my peeps-I am 7% Indian) and everybody across the nation that is an honor not an insult to us to be able to find out more about my(our) heritage just by having an nfl mascot called the redskins represented by a perfect picture of an Indian on their helmet.. Do we all know what that picture represents? I see the helmet and think warrior bravery..mighty.. anongst other great things from the picture. i do not think redskins..my skins red? huh? thats bad? huh why are they still playing? rg3 take that jersey off! alfedmorris your black stop running the ball. No. i see the redskins helmets and names and i enter a place growing up that sounded more like this.. Blue 42 blue forty two red hutttt hut! Watch 28 block 55. Left side strong side! On two on two..down set hut hut. You wanna change this????? No you dont. Are you getting the picture...sure you do..you have always seen the same thing when you watch football and seen those helmets I have for 30 + years! Take that away and what are my people left with? Nothing at all! How does that help speak truth about honoring my heritage or a small part of it? Im going to a family reunion next year to find out more about my dads side of the familys heritage and Im thinking ill wear a redskins jersey to it when it comes around next year. Missed it these past two years. See Im growing up into a man and catching up on part of my life that I know little about! Am I going to offend some people wearing a redskins jersey(if I wore it down to Mississippi) next year when I go?) No. I wont. And heres why/whynot. Because I know how to remove a mask from myself and others when it comes down to it. Its all about what kind of message youre trying to send! Let me talk to my people on the Choctaw reservation next year and I promise you me and my people come in peace! And our more than honored that were supposably represented in the nfl (which were not). Its just a mascot!!! Look, its bad enough we have to come to court today and waste taxpayers money to have legal representations fighting over something that doesnt really exist. Why cause were not talking about Indians or redskins or people offended because if we were than lets double our efforts and save the time and money and take the group of brown people I have patiently waiting in the lobby on my and their behalf ..to say that the Cleveland Browns are insulting their race too! Yes we could save time and money by going ahead and changing both nfl teams that insult both races. Wait. It would make more sense to keep all these intelligent people like we all are here on the jury and in the court room and in the lobby and across the land to stay at home stay and to stay at work stay and to stay volunteering..stay in the real world. simply making a difference and let this go to rest. Team mascots arent insulting and are just mascots! I like mascots so quit trying to delete them. Theyre fine! I know this (watch this) because I try to catch sun all day everyday trying to get my (brown skin) on and yet my (skin gets red) bc of its sensitivity to sunlight.. Awe but its okay! Theres no reason to change a mascot because of my skin though your honor!!! Almost there ladies and gentlemen. However, (start smiling), cause there is still time to fight world hunger one child at a time, and find cures for diseases.. and even encourage those directly around us to live better lives by lending a helping hand one hand at a time and letting wonderful dominoes such as these effect our world. Im going to tell my brown peeps in the lobby to let it go so lets keep the Cleveland browns ....the Cleveland browns.. and Im going to tell my indian peeps to calm down the ones who are/or maybe offended because there are more good to have awareness of something good out there than bad. By having a mascot such as these out there. And I know that this is costing lots of money and time to have all this representation in this courtroom today so Im letting ot go to. Hey, if we hurry home I bet we can find someone to watch an nfl game with and have a good time like the good ole days. When it was about how mean the other team looked in playful kind of way! And regardless of what teams are playing. We will be happy that we are blessed enough to even be able to watch games. Whens the last time you invited to someone to watch an event with you? You should do that soon because you never know what you could be missing when things are gone! Proud to be a redskin if there is such a thing- and Im part Indian part(mostly white) and Im sure a small part of other things but Im not offended and not sorry that a mascot is just a mascot unless you believe. Im a believer. What are you believing in today? I believe that this case is closed!! ...Besides this 2013 discussion is clearly a diversion to not build Jonesboro a water park.. or go cart track ...or decent driving range ...or a small enough piece of land for some batting cages.. and we need more sidewalks. And let that be on record and noted.. So like they did on Madagascar (for the other team in the NFC east). All Hail The Washington Redskins!! Woo-pig-sooie! And Howl Yessss!
