This “Name It and Claim It” nonsense that’s taught - TopicsExpress

This “Name It and Claim It” nonsense that’s taught recklessly by many prosperity evangelists is for the birds. Christ didn’t die on the cross only to become your personal ATM or Genie in a Bottle. The idea of saying what you want and believing God will give it to you is based on a false concept of God. Not to mention all the people that get mad at God or start losing their faith because He didn’t fulfill their things-to do-list! Don’t get me wrong; I believe God shows favor to the righteous by giving them wealth and prosperity. However, before we can derive benefits from God’s promises, we must conduct our lives with great confidence in His plan. Perhaps it would be a good idea to simply execute God’s plan, lead people by example, and obey divine commands. Doing so is the only way to ensure prosperity in all aspects of life.
