This Saturday(14th September) sees the British Association of Mixed Martial Arts(BAMMA) return for their 13th promotional event BAMMA 13, at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham, England and is headlined by the 1st ever BAMMA world light heavyweight title fight between Max "Power" Nunes and Jason "The Villian" Jones. Main Event - BAMMA World light heavyweight title - Max Nunes vs Jason Jones; Max "Power" Nunes fights out of New Wave Academy in Stockholm, Sweden and holds an unbeaten MMA record of 11-0-0 with 6 wins coming via KO/TKO and 5 wins via submission. Nunes made his professional debut in July 2010, when he defeated John Rutherford via 1st round submission. Nunes holds wins over the likes of Iain Martell via 2nd round submission, Tony Moran via 1st round submission and Kevin Thompson via 1st round TKO. Nunes participated in his longest fight to date at BAMMA 12 Agustin Marcin Lazarz, where Nunes defeated Lazarz via TKO after just over a minute of the 1st round. Nunes most recent win is over Justin Davis via 1st round TKO. Jason "The Villian" Jones fights out of Golden Glory in Amsterdam, Holland and holds a professional MMA record of 19-10-0 with 8 wins coming via KO/TKO and 7 wins via submission. Jones made his professional debut back in May 2004, where Jones defeated Matt Hershberger via 1st round submission and started Jones on a 5 fight winning streak. Jones received his 1st career loss in April 2007, against Rodney Moore via 1st round submission. During his career Jones has defeated a number of fighters including Andrey Rudakov via submission, Daniel Weichel via 1st round TKO, Yuta Watanabe via 2nd round TKO and Tatsuya Mizuno via unanimous decision. Jones is going into this championship fight off a loss to Maciej Browarski back in May of this year via 1st round KO. Co-Main Event - BAMMA World welterweight title - Jimmy Wallhead vs Eddy Ellis: Jim "Judo2 Wallhead fights out of Team Rough House in Leicester, England and holds a professional MMA record of 24-7-0 with 7 wins coming via KO/TKO and 10 wins via submission. Wallhead holds a black belt in Judo and made his professional debut in April 2005, where Wallhead defeated Steve Matthews via 1st round submission. In May 2005, Wallhead received his 1st career loss at the hands of Boris Jonstomp via 1st round submission. In December 2005, Wallhead defeated Paul Jenkins via unanimous decision to win the House of Pain welterweight title. Wallhead won the Cage Gladiators British welterweight title when he defeated Jason Tan via split decision in September 2006. Wallhead then added the COW welterweight title to his achievements in September 2009, when Wallhead defeated Marcius Buzinskas via 1st round submission. Wallhead holds wins over the likes of Che Mills via unanimous decision, Ryan Thomas via unanimous decision and Frank Trigg via split decision. Wallhead is going into this fight off a win over Matt Veach via 1st round submission at BAMMA 12. Eddy "Fast" Ellis fights out of United Training Center, Washington, USA and holds a professional MMA record of 18-15-1 and 1 no contest with 7 wins via TKO/KO and 8 wins coming via submission. Ellis made his professional debut back in April 2000, with Ellis defeating Quincy Clark via 1st round TKO. Ellis received his 1st career loss at the hands of Gabe Schaeffer via unanimous decision in January 2002. Ellis holds wins over the likes of Cedric Marks via a 2nd round submission, Steve Berger via unanimous decision and Tim Welch via 2nd round submission. Ellis is currently riding a 6 fight winning streak with his last victory back in December 2011, when Ellis defeated J.T Taylor via 1st round KO.
