This Sunday at 11 a.m., we will hear two lovely and encouraging passages from scripture: Isaiah 49:1-7, the second of the so-called servant songs, and 1 Corinthians 1:1-9. Both concern being called by the God who is in relationship with us and walks our journey by our side, empowering us to do what we are called to do. At the close of worship, we will hold a congregational meeting, during which we will hear the annual report on the life of the congregation, elect members of the 2014 Nominating Committee and vote on the pastors terms of call. Our Presbyterian polity at work!
