This campaign needs to continue on past the, all too often, laws - TopicsExpress

This campaign needs to continue on past the, all too often, laws that are being passed to legalize the growing, only, under the strict control of the large and industrial farmers. It would take volumes to cover the benefits of this plant, to individuals, and, to society. It needs to be freed to the every day person so people can be self-sufficient in their diets and healthcare. Grandma should be allowed to grow it in her garden or window seal and save on her high medical costs and improve her strength and health. This would save the the taxpayers a lot of money too, and families worries and sorrows. The small family farm and local co-ops could be back in business because one acre would provide as good an income as many of the working class jobs. This would give strength to our rural communities where industrialized farming and job loss has hit hard. Doesnt it seem more American to give people a chance to be self-sufficient, rather than relying on government subsidies, instead of just legalizing it for the big guys that pay the little guys so small wages that our tax dollars have to subsidize them? We have an opportunity to strengthen our working and middle classes with this movement. We have an opportunity to free people to be in control of their own health care. Both of those things will save an enormous amount of tax-payer money. It is time to get passed the generations of lies and fear-mongering that has kept this useful plant, healer and super food, and material for an untold amount of products, out of reach to the people. All the while, the alternatives that were, and are, legal, destroy the planet that sustains us, destroys our health, is the basis of wars and senseless deaths, and are running out. That running out thing is why they are allowing legalization. Are we really going to let them control and monopolize it and keep people dependent on buying their products, often subsidized by the taxpayer because the average person wont be able to afford them? Or, are we going to take this campaign all the way and make a stand for truth and freedom?
