This conversation I had at LaGuardia airport today was so unreal to me, I have to share: Grumpy old British man in ugly green sweatpants, as he stares at a mom holding an adorable baby, says to me: Children should not be allowed on planes. Or they should, but on a separate cabin with animals. He obviously ASSumed I didnt have children & that I would laugh at that. ME: So if you have children & need to travel, should you lock them up at home & leave them food in a bowl? HIM: I dont care what they do. No one should have children. Theyre an inconvenience & serve no purpose. Me: I think the only person that should not have had children was your mom. And perhaps you grew up hearing her express that, & that explains your douche bag point of view. I have 3 little ones & travel with them when I need to, & when I see men like you frown, I want to put YOU in a cabin along with animals. You should also lower your voice bc I dont want that mom to hear you & feel offended for no good reason. HIM: I dont care about that mom or her baby. Thats the problem with people these days. They are too easily offended, & some of us are misunderstood. Hitler (yes, he brought up Hitler) was misunderstood. ME: Maybe youve been misunderstood bc of your hideous accent? Other than that, I dont think theres much to misunderstand. But maybe you & Hitler can bond over that conversation in hell one day. Man got up & walked away (score!). I got a couple high fives on the plane later from people that heard me tell him off. Gotta admit, it felt good! A year ago, I probably would have been intimidated by a man like that but today, I made HIM walk away with his tail between his legs, covered in ugly green sweatpants!
