This event really needs your support – without abstract submissions and registrations this important event for our research students cannot go ahead! We have extended the abstract submission date until the 12th September 2014. Registrations will also close by this date! For any queries about the event, please contact Michelle at [email protected] Nutrition Society of Australia Sydney Branch - Student Presentation Event Thursday 18th September 2014, 12 to 6pm UWS Parramatta Campus NSA Sydney branch are holding the inaugural student research presentation night. Nutrition students at all stages of their research are invited to come and present their work. This event will provide a friendly and informal environment for students to communicate their work- a valuable transferable skill. Any nutrition student is welcome to attend this meeting. Ideally they should be a current student member of the NSA. However, for a student to be eligible to present at this exciting event, they should be a current member of the NSA. We would strongly encourage any student who has submitted an abstract for the NSA ASM to use this opportunity to practice their submission prior to the ASM itself. Refreshments will be served over the course of the event. There is no fee for attending the meeting however, registration is required. Please register at https://tas.currinda/register/event/1114 Abstract submission There are two streams for submission; poster or oral presentation. Your abstract should be no more than 300 words. All nutrition related topics are acceptable. Submission is by the 12 September 2014. You must be a current member of the Nutrition Society of Australia to submit an abstract. There are no further submission requirements. Abstracts will not be published. If your abstract is successful, you will be invited to present your poster or 10 min oral presentation on the day of the event. Poster submissions must be no more than 12 A4 Pages in total. For those wishing to produce a printed poster the dimensions should be 1 m by 1.2 m in portrait Submissions of abstracts should be made to [email protected] before 5pm on the 12 September. There will be a prize for the best oral communication and poster presentation on the day.
