This is a Copy of a letter I sent to Judge Napolitano. Im sending this off to Megyn Kelly, Shepard Smith, Jeanine Pirro, Ben Swann among others. IMO if we bombard the Media with letters stating the lack of coverage their is a chance they will start to cover this CRISIS and the discriminatory towards the LTU by our Government and Congress. I will be sending this off to the major Newspapers around the Country. Here is the letter. You can use all or part of it if you wish. If you send it please use your name. Strength in numbers. Hello Judge Napolitano, We the Long Term Unemployed(L.T.U) are being abandoned by Congress and Ignored by the Media. Please read this letter. Thank You. WHY IS THE MEDIA NOT COVERING THIS CRISIS!! NEWS TIP: There are 3.5+ million American Unemployed People who have had the Emergency Unemployment Extension ripped from under them all because Politicians want to play Political Football with this CRISIS. YES this is a CRISIS. Its an AMERICAN CRISIS that has been created by our Governments Economic Policies. This effects more than 3.5 million people. Their Spouses, Children, Parents, Grandparents are effected. So the 3.5 million people affected by this CRISIS is in reality more closer to 10 million. This number is growing every month. When you lose your home because your job has been outsourced to a Foreign Company, whose fault is that? Its not the people losing his/her jobs fault. Its the policies of our Government that has caused this CRISIS. So why is this CRISIS not being covered by the American Media 24/7 like all the other Crisiss that are covered? Why is the Media so Compassionate to the Central American childrens plight and our Government so quick to send Millions of Tax payer Dollars to give them relief . Yet the Media gives zero Coverage to the L.T.U (Long Term Unemployed) CRISIS, and Congress degrades and turns their Back on the L.T.U. by calling the L.T.U lazy and dead beats. Where is Mr. Obama in all of this? Why doesnt he get together with Congress and get this Emergency Unemployment Extension done. Thats what Leaders do. They bring 2 sides together to fix a CRISIS. They dont sit back and enjoy the chaos. But I regress. Our Leader has turned into a Fundraiser. When I talk about media coverage Im not talking about a 2 inch column on page 14 or a 1 minute segment on a major Cable Network during the morning hours. Im talking about at least page 3 in Newsprint or Online and Primetime on the Cable Networks. The story of this CRISIS needs to be in the News repeatedly. This is an American Humanitarian CRISIS. The L.T.U Story deserves just as much coverage if not more than the Coverage regarding whats happening with the Central American children. If the News Medias Hearts can bleed for Foreign Children, I expect nothing less when it comes to AMERICAN Children. The L.T.U are included in the Medias reader and viewer base. Our CRISIS demands equal coverage if not more that the Border Crisis. Im all for helping the Children from Central America. Im all for helping the Ukraine. If the Media is going to cover these stories, and the Government is going to give aid at the drop of a hat to Foreigners. They had better think of the Consequences of not Covering the L.T.U CRISIS and denying aid to help the L.T.U and THEIR Families. ESPECIALLY their CHILDREN. Who are AMERICAN CITIZENS. The L.T.U needs a voice. The Media is supposed to be the voice of the people. The people who support the media by subscribing to their channels or buying their print media can easily withdraw their support. If the Media refuses to be that voice then that option is always open. Boycotts are a very effective tool to get the media attention to cover an injustice or discriminatory behavior by our government. A lot of the L.T.U are people in their 50s and 60s. Many are of color, and women. Many are Veterans, over 300,000. Do you see a pattern here from our Government regarding our Veterans? First the VA Scandal, where they were denied Medical Care, now they and the rest of the L.T.U are being denied Emergency Assistance that has been Extended over the past 8 years to the Unemployed. Why is it being cut off now? The Federal Government prohibits discrimination based on age, race and gender. It seems to me the failure to Extend the Emergency Unemployment Insurance by Congress could be Discriminatory in Nature against a certain class of Americans. This would make a nice News Story for any Media Outlet to run with. The LTU voice will be heard. We are organizing. The government will not sweep us under the rug. We are not going away.
