This is a city full of temples and monks. Yesterday I spent some time helping translate a buddhist tale into english for a couple of young buddhist monks. One young lad had been a student for 8 years and had another 2 years to go before opting whether to permanently become a monk or go back into mainstream life. Today I saw a different side of life. I hired a youngish (28) year old man to take me around the city. Three hours for around $10. He works 9 am to 12 midnight 7 days a week. His money goes to mum and dad and to educate his little sister to university standard. He felt that his life was blessed. It is so humbling to be amongst such beautiful people. They find reward in giving
