This is a pretty god example of how our Justice system works. The cop gets to spend millions of taxpayor dollars in his legal defense, right up until he is found not guilty. Most folks get a Public Defender who is generally sound asleep during Trial, and you are found guilty and spend the rest of your life in prison; End of story. But NOW read the last paragraph in this story. Another dude was ALSO on trial in this case, and HIS Lawyer was paid $80,000.00 to defend him, he was found guilty, and is now in prison for 225 years. WHY did the cop get millions for his defense, and not also the other dude? Simple; The other dude wasnt a cop.
