This is a project Im calling The Mysterium Tremendum( Funhouse photo visuals). Its a mixture of art and photography; first just a little back story on these photos. I started doing this kind of art back in Florida about 15 years ago , mix media created characters from dolls. I was doing small shows in and around the Orlando area, I stopped once 911 hit; fast forwarding I picked it back up after I met Patty, Patricia Arroyo Artist a great artist and my soul love about three years ago; when we got together she encouraged me to start doing it again, so I did. I made some Circus style dolls which I still have as part of Tillies Funhouse, but this doll here was one that survived from the first batch of work I did back in 99 . Shes been through a lot, bags, boxes, I all but forgot about her until I found her, I dont even know when or where she just appeared, but now shes found a home as part of the Wonder Worlds of this current project , so its extra special for me. The Mysterium Tremedum is about the photos, there are no solid art pieces involved, just sets if you will. After doing Tillies Funhouse I wanted to express myself and the visions I had further and do what I couldnt do there because of fire codes, ceilings restrictions and frankly, resources. It will be comprised of four sections; the realms of Fun, Fear, Wonder and Illusion. Ill be letting the photos out periodically so if interested hit my follow button to keep up with them. I will add that there is no Photoshop involved with these pictures, just basic I mac photo editing; contrast, exposure, saturation ex. Theres no cutting or pasting or Photoshop effects. Reading the captions is important since the rooms connect to each other, and there will be descriptions about the rooms themselves, and as always Imagination is key; picture yourself in a Funhouse and go from there. The photos will be also posted on the Tillies Funhouse page as sort of an off shoot to Tillies Funhouse . So for the next few months I hope you enjoy The Mysterium Tremendum : overwhelming mystery.
