This is an example of why I feel stronger copyright laws / contracts as regards the performers work should be in place for example if a performer works on a image for years or months that is their intellectual property then a photographer should not beable to randomly snap it then claim its their art or copyright .Rocio is a not only a amazing artist working in the extreme body art field but also one of the few women making strong work within this field equal to men whom I greatly admire ,so I am sad this she has to experienced this callous attitude towards her work. More laws I feel should be in place regarding this violation of the performance artists work and to protect the performance artists creative intellectual property. I also have experience of this working within this field and feel it is time the performers/ artists work was protected .
