This is going to be a longer post than my usual one. It is something that I have been thinking about all day. It began before dawn this morning as I was in that twilight zone trying to decide if I should get up and go potty or just pull up the covers and hope the urged passed. Recently, I have seen posts about being thankful for what we have and sharing feelings about family and friends. I guess those ideas took root in the nether regions of my mind where they germinated only to have them burst forth with fruition early this morning as I struggled to decide whether to get up or not. I did get up, addressed the pressing issue, and went back to bed to continue pondering what Im thankful for and how to share those thoughts. The following is what I decided to share for now. To begin with, I am thankful for my wife, Penny, who has managed to put up with my shenanigans for 30 plus years. We have definitely had our ups and downs dealing with the realities of life. So, thank you, Penny, for putting up with this grumpy man...okay, with this grumpier old fart...awww, who am I kidding, with this grumpiest SOB! Te amo!
