This is just an observation that I have noticed with some believers. When confronted or when our behavior that is not Christ like is brought to our attention by/through others as believers we can be quick to espouse Christian statements such as "the devil is a liar," to validate ourselves or to make others think we are being persecuted by others because of Christian titles/positions, but the truth of the matter is this. Sometimes we are not being persecuted by non-belivers nor is the devil lying. Yes sometimes our disposition and attitudes about ourselves need to be checked. That which someone may bring to your attention could be a warning before you are prosecuted by what you fail to correct.
