This is kinda a serious rant but one worth reading. On two recent occasions I have been at shidigs where I was in a group of women where a significantly older man would come around to flirtaceously grab at and kiss the ladies on the mouth. In both instances I did not know these men and yet they would come at me to try to hug and kiss me. (on an aside, I am not a kisser. I dont even kiss my own family. If I really like you, I may kiss your cheek playfully but you gotta earn that) Both times I put my arms out to stop him and loudly said NO! And some of the women would say Oh hes just like that. Were all used to him by now. I post this because if youre ok with that sort of thing, so be it. But its also important to understand and honor that I (and others) are not. And if you are uncomfortable with someone doing that then say NO! Please do not allow someone to make you uncomfortable. Your body/mouth/affections are yours and just because some old man has gotten away with forcing hugs and kisses in a group of people does not mean you have to endure it. Even if you have in the past.
