This is one of our Tree Spinach (Chenopodium giganteum, not Chaya ) plants. It is now about 60cm tall and beginning to show side shoots. Getting conflicting advice about harvesting. Some say leave it a year, some not. Any body got any experience? Do I use all the small shoots, just the side shoots? Or just harvest to shape and maintain? They ( 4 of them) are growing great in the shade of the plum trees. This area is in shade until mid afternoon and is heavily watered as it is also the pumpkin bed.
