This is probably my biggest struggle as a follower of Christ, and Im sure I am not alone. Sometimes its hard not to focus on our own needs, wants, and insecurities. Being a follower in no way means that things will go your way and you will live a perfect little life with no hurts. In fact, we are promised the opposite. The Bible tells us that we will have times of trouble and that we will be persecuted. We need to get to the point where we are content with the knowledge that God is sovereign and that if He never did another thing for us, if he never gives us the healing we pray for, if he never intervened in another situation, He is still on the throne and worthy to be praised. He has given us the glorious gift of salvation and grace. What more do we need? There are so many going through the motions of this life completely lost.
