This is the old Prince Regent Theatre in Hamilton Victoria. It was closed in 1974 and re-opened as a George Taylor Disposal store in 1976, which it still is today. The last feature shown in 1974 was Walt Disneys Peter Pan plus two other films one of which was advertised as a free bonus. The staff were very accommodating in letting me take photos, before I even had a chance to ask if I could photograph inside one of the staff members shouted at me from across the road to come inside. They even opened up the balcony to let me take photos up there, unfortunately I didnt get into the old bio box. It looks like the roof has been replaced at some time, but, Im told that when they get a heavy frost it rains on the stage area. I do have a few more photos that I will post as a part 2.
