This is the sweetest girl, Cassidy! !! Shes making her debut today at the adoption event at the Rivergate Petsmart in Charlotte N.C. from 1-6 pm. Cassidy had been listed as rescue only and blind by the shelter, which is not the case. She has cloudy eyes from untreated conjunctivitis likely as a kitten, but she sees, runs around and plays with her toys. What we did notice was that she walked differently on one of her back feet, flat footed. Upon many vet visits, xrays, diagnostic tests, orthopedic specialist visit it was determined shed shattered her heel joint likely hit by a car or hit with hard impact, but it was an old injury that had healed and she improvised and learned how to get around on it just fine. The histopath was not needed as wed thought and the specialist said hed leave her leg alone as it isnt a hindrance and with the shattered heel joint it cant be surgically repaired. She likely has stomatitis and may end up losing a few teeth, but shes a fabulous little eater of both canned and dry cat food. Cassidy is an absolute Love bug and she so wants you to sit with her and watch tv or lie in bed and snuggle. This little girl had obviously been through a lot in her young life--shes only about 1.5-2 yrs young. This girl deserves to find someone who will love her and show her what a real home is like.
