Nehemiah 9:17 *For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. Psalm 30:5 *Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. James 1:19-20 *Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosoms of fools. Ecclesiastes 7:9 *He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly. Proverbs 14:17 *He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city. Proverbs 16:32 *A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife. Proverbs 15:18 *An angry man stirreth up strife, and a furious man aboundeth in transgression. Proverbs 29:22 *Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. Psalm 37:8 *Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go: Lest thou learn his ways, and get a snare to thy soul. Proverbs 22:24-25 *A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger. Proverbs 15:1 *Fathers, provoke not your child to anger, lest they be discouraged. Colossians 3:21 *Be ye angey, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath. Ephesians 4:26 *The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a trangression. Proverbs 19:11 *It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman. Proverbs 21:19 *But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. Matthew 5:22 *Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christs sake hath forgiven you. Ephesians 4:31-32 *Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him: if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:19-21 *Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous: but who is able to stand before envy? Proverbs 27:4 *But now ye also put off all these anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
