This may bother a few people but hey maybe they need to hear it. And I am not trying to ruffle any feathers just putting the truth of this day out there. Easter, another Catholic holiday stolen from Pagans. Easter which is just the english word for Eostre who is actually a germanic pagan goddess. Some of the holidays we celebrate in this country are just ridiculous. Yay its easter!! We lie to our kids and tell them some mythical bunny rabbit is bringing them candy and presents? Why??? Where is the purpose or even the relation to what Catholics tell us easter is supposed to be about? Its turned into yet another consumerism holiday. BUY BUY BUY! Lets buy all our kids a bunch of presents like its christmas and give them a ton of candy with aspartame and high fructose corn syrup known to cause cancer. Get them addicted early. I mean come on people. Does anyone think about this stuff at all? What we are doing and WHY we are doing it? Or do we just do it because that is what we have been taught and told is normal or tradition. Well its time to break a number of stupid traditions. How many people are teaching their children the truth of easter this year? How many are going with the norm celebrating a fake holiday invented by the catholic church, an idea they swiped from Pagans yet again (not the only holiday that has been stolen from the Pagans. Religion is truly holding back human evolution. In more ways then one. Its silly holidays like this that make me feel like the human species is just spinning its wheels going up a very steep hill. Just laying on the gas but continuously sliding backwards.
