This message just came through from local police, worth checking elderly neighbours and friends have good security. > Please be aware overnight - that is between Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd October, there has been two break to garages in the Alderholt area. The first was in the Windsor Way area of the village, offenders have jemmied open a timber door to gain entry. They have then stolen a pedal cycle from within. The other was in the Daggons Road area, and again the offenders have stolen a pedal cycle and also a bag of Dewalt tools, such as cordless drills, ripsaw, angle grinder etc, all stored in a Dewalt bag. If you have any information regarding either of these two crimes then please contact Dorset Police on 101. Can we remind all residents of the rural villages to make sure all outbuildings are locked and where possible items such as bikes should also be locked when stored inside. Electrical and gardening tools can be marked and any serial numbers should be noted and stored in a safe location away from the items.
