This month is one of the busiest, and hardest for my family to get through. This year is no exception, however, as one of my mothers caregivers so poignantly put it today, Carmen, you just havent managed to catch a brake. Youre definitely due. This year is particularly difficult because my mom has been very ill since April, and has been back and forth between ICU/hospital, and skilled nursing. She spent her birthday in the hospital, is spending her Anniversary, and my Fathers birthday in Skilled nursing. August is additionally difficult because it is also the anniversary of my sisters murder. I know Im always saying dont keep saying Ill get to that eventually, or Ill say hello, I love you, or goodbye someday. Im a firm believer in letting people know how you feel about them in the here, and now. We arent guaranteed the opportunity in the future. I love my parents very much, and the last few months have ranked as some of the longest, and scariest elapses of time, and there have been several in my lifetime. Mom, and Dad you are one of my heroes. Youre strength, love, and support of one another in the darkest of times, and the happiest of times are my anchor... I love you both very much.
