This monument is in Garfield Park, Indianapolis Indiana. It has not had any restoration done to it in over 40 years. This project is headed by members of the Major General William D. McCain camp #584 Sons of Confederate Veterans, the Indy Parks Department, and the Indy Parks Foundation. We also have nationally renowned sculpture, Gary Casteel, from Gettysburg PA. on board as our lead professional adviser on this project. The last photo shows the name of my ancestor Henry Blevins, Co. K. 26th Tennessee Infantry Regiment who died as a POW here in Indianapolis on June 30th,1862.
