This ones funny. I really get a kick out of how counter intelligence programs wrap lies inside of lies to cover their tracks... you often uncover one lie to discover theres another, to discover theres another, to discover theres another. Years ago I had discovered that the original story of where Wasson got the information from regarding the Amanita as Soma, as well as the Mexican mushroom proctices came from John G. Bourke, in this book The Scatalogic Rites of All Nations, 1891. A comparison of the effects of Soma with those of the Amanita muscaria and cannabis was first proposed in the book Scatalogic [sic] Rites of All Nations by John G. Bourke, 1891.[13] The author dedicated more than 30 pages (pp. 65-99) to the study of the ritualistic use of mushrooms, including the Siberian Amanita muscaria urine-drinking custom, and Mexican mushroom practices. This is probably where Wasson first learned of the ritualistic use of mushrooms, urine consumption, and Soma. On page 98 is a letter to Bourke by a Dr. J. W. Kingsley: I remember being shown this fungus by an Englishman who was returning [...] from Siberia. He fully confirmed all that I had heard on the subject, having seen the orgy [mushroom rituals] himself. … Nothing religious in this, you may say; but look at the question a little closer and you will see that these ‘intoxicants,’ [...] were at first looked upon as media able to raise the mere man up to a level with his gods, and enable him to communicate with them, as was certainly the case with the ‘soma’ of the Hindu ecstatics and the hashich [sic] I have seen used by some tribes of Arabs. Most scholars claim that Wasson was the progenitor of these ideas, but this is not wholly accurate. It appears that Wasson may have ‘borrowed’ several key ideas from Bourke’s research and expanded upon them throughout his career, subsequently creating the field of ethnomycology. Thereafter it appears that Bourke was relegated mostly to rare catalogue and bibliographical entries published by Wasson and a few other scholars of his ilk.[14] However, Bourke is not to be found, as one should expect him to be, given the extent of his studies on the subject, in the main body of text in most of the books published on the subject for the last half century. But then some months ago I realized Bourke was influenced by H.G. Wells. And then I realized that both Aldous and Julian Huxley studied under Wells. And then I realized that it appears that Edward Bernays has also studied Wells for mind control techniques (weird book called Conspiranoia, p 93 - Thanks, Brian!): A Close Friend of H.G. Wells, Bernays studied the sci-fi writers novels for various Mind Control techniques. But were not done yet. Who did H. G. Wells study under? Thats right - Sir Thomas Henry Huxley - Darwins Bulldog. He was also a member of the Fabian Society, as were Aldous Huxley, George Orwell, Annie Besant, and John Maynard Kenes. We already know that Bernays was friends with Wasson for 10 years or more. So: Wells > Bourke > Huxleys > Bernays > Wasson So then: Wells > Bourke > Bernays > Huxley AND Wasson > Ultimate Revolutin / Battle for the Mind / Brave New World / Soma. H. G. Wells had written The Purple Pileus - way way back, even before John Uri Lloyd. Etideorhpa (Aphrodite backwards) was written in the 1890s and had already addressed psilocybe mushrooms) - so this goes before that, before Bourke, et al, because Wells influenced Bourke. Ladies and Gentlemen, have we reached the core of the onion of cunning lies? After awhile it makes you appreciate, on some level, the CIAs cunning. Of course the word cunning is where we get our word cunt, from cunnas, a wedge shape - often used in writing. The Purple Pileus - by Herbert George Wells. (the word pileus means the cap of a mushroom or toadstool.) online-literature/wellshg/2876/ Chris Dangwillo
