This post isnt about shooting, and definitely not about gun rights. Its about good training. 35 years ago I got what I knew at the time was excellent handgun training. But it wasnt something I turned into a hobby. Ive shot handguns about three times since. Im definitely not a gun enthusiast. On a whim today I went to the range. After a little warm-up I put two full clips (35 rds) inside the 4 ring from 40 feet and thats without the laser assist. The sight picture came back, and the muscle memory was still there. Thank you Dallas Taggart (PPB) and Walt Stav (MCSO). Whether its guns, golf, tennis or tiddlywinks, good training stays with you. We should all thank the teachers in our lives for what theyve given us.
