This report seems to reflect the belief that the police are the only ones who should be armed and can appear like a flash when people are in danger, inspite of the fact that these intruders were already on the property and armed and dangerous. Appearing at a home full of unarmed people and exhibiting a desire to force entry. Would you want to try to call the police while laying in the floor in a hostage situation? The word wild is more descriptive of anyones chance of survival if the criminals had gained entrance.
