This shoe box somehow gets 10 pounds heavier with every step I take toward the trash can. And with every tear that falls while I walk, I begin to wonder if you ever really loved me. I lift the lid off the trash can, my tears are falling fast. I move my arm to hold the box in my hand over the trash can. I let the trash can lid fall to the ground, I open the box and looked in. How could you do this to me? I close the box, I looked away, I couldnt see our love fall. And, I let it fall. No, you never loved me. You loved her, him, him, her, her, him. You loved them. But, you never loved the one person that loved you more than anyone could. Im done with crying over you, and Im tired of you living rent free in my thoughts. Its been almost a year. It really is over for good. I would say sorry for it ending like this. But now, I realize, I have nothing left to be sorry for. I wasnt perfect, I lied but I always told you some point in time. Thats more than what I can say you did. Im glad its forever broken.
