This song speaks volumes to me. Though it will probably be too heavy for a lot of people. I wanted to make a post thanking all of my friends and family who helped me through my battle with cancer, and if I could have wrote a song about how I felt going through treatment it might have sounded something like this one. If it wasnt for the cards, phone calls, visits, and conversations on Facebook I never would have had the strength to do it. Everyone always talks about how strong I was to go through what I did. It wasnt my own strength that did it. It was the love and support from everyone. I had some pretty dark times when literally the only reason I wanted to wake up the next day was so I didnt let down all the people who cared and wanted to see me get through the day. I am blessed to have the family and friends that I have. You are the reason I am alive today. I want to live my life in honor of all of you. My mom Melinda Carpenter-Brown was there every time I needed anything. After my transplant she had to spoon feed and bathe me. She truly is an amazing woman. My step-father Harvey Brown was at the hospital with me every day he could be to support me and my mom. I recently found out that he isnt fond of visiting people in hospitals if he isnt working. I will never be able to express the gratitude I have toward him. He has done more for me than anyone could ask. My father Mike Bruner was never more than a call away for me and was always willing to listen when I needed to vent some frustration. His Girlfriend Patsy Lewis was always trying her best to keep me happy from just goofing off to making whatever I wanted to eat. I also had some of the best nurses in the world Robin Brown Jones and Fauni Lowe who brightened every trip to the clinic even if I accidentally threw up on them. I have had some of the best doctors anyone could ask for too. My best friend Trey isnt on Facebook but I still have to mention him, a day rarely went by that we didnt talk on the phone for a few hours. This list could go on for another thousand words and I would not be able to thank everyone. I just wanted to let everyone know how much you guys mean to me.
