This was in Kyoto a few days ago at the Japanese Movie Hall of Fame. My knowledge of Japanese film is largely confined to Godzilla but names like Shesu Hiyakawa (phonetically spelled) were familiar. Occasionally we would say to each other Oh yeah, thats that guy that was in a Black Rain with Michael Douglas or Wasnt that guy in the third Dirty Harry movie? This kind of sophistication is rare, I know. Anyway, there were all kinds of Ninju fighters and Samaria warriors and such and I saw this cute kid dressed in an outfit who went to pose with a Ninja warrior so her doting parents could have a Kodak moment. You can rent outfits for kids so they can feel the experience up close and personal. Heres a brief clip.
