This week is a good week because I saw two great people. Today I saw Dr. V.S.Rajam, a great Tamil scholar in Sangam poetry and grammar. We had a very pleasant conversation about her days in Penn and her great professor, Prof. George Cardona, an expert in Panini. We discussed about relationship about Panini and Tholkappiam. She firmly told me Thol is as original as Panini. This was her dissertation is on that subject and she convince the Sanskrit eyed scholars that Tholhappiar is original thinker. Its a shame the Tamil society has not honored her work but glad many use her reference guide for sangam poetry (without giving her credit :(. Fetna will once again honor her in 2015 convention at San Jose. Another person is Prof. Arokiasamy Paulraj (web.stanford.edu/~apaulraj/). I and Chockkalingam Karuppaiah saw him at his home with his wife, Mrs. Nirmala Paulraj on Wednesday. What a great couple. We met them in St. Louis during 2014 Fetna convention TAP award ceremony. He promised to help us this year. He has graciously agreed to be part of the TAP selection committee. Looking forward to work with him during the 28th Tamil convention.
