Those of you who liked The Smiths back in the ‘80s will definitely want to check out Johnny Marr’s new album, which is titled Playland. The album is more straight-ahead rock than The Smiths’ music was, but it’s a really great piece of work. The album’s first single, “Easy Money,” is the best rock single that I’ve heard this year. Check it out: youtube/watch?v=9_P5iSG_APE. Marr is doing some live dates in NYC next month. He’s great in concert, so definitely go to see him live if you get the chance.
