Im grateful to be apart of this community....looking forward to making great connections. *******Birth of Our Twin Daughters Nailah & Najiyah******* December 6, 2014 We planned a home birth delivery with a holistic midwife for 1 beautiful, healthy baby, and at 24 weeks pregnant, we got the news that we were having TWINS!!! 2 days AFTER we learned our family was growing by 2 babies, the water bag breaks prematurely around one of my twins. One the scariest moments ever for me! The hospital stay BEGAN and lasted close to a month, away from my other 3 children. This was a challenge. Completely foreign experience for everybody, to say the least. The doctors told me Id only last 7 days before delivery (if that long) and chances were leaning towards my babies NOT SURVIVING. This shook me to my core!!!! I started feeling helpless....... I had my heart and mind set on a vaginal delivery with no interventions! The doctors told me that was NO LONGER an option because of gestational age and positioning but I wasnt hearing it! (Sigh*) There were so many OBSTACLES to OVERCOME and a lot of SURRENDERING I had to EMBRACE. Day after day, I constantly adjusted, MENTALLY &PHYSICALLY. From that point of absolute MAGIC FLOWED. Morning of December 6th, I think Corey and I could tell intuitively something was very different. In laboring positions with him to manage the pain, I laughed to myself, realizing I was in labor and had just been in denial about it for over 24 hours. FEAR was taking over....then I remembered,....APPLY WHAT YOUVE LEARNED JADE, BREATHE DEEP, SURRENDER TO WHAT IS, EMBRACE THE DIVINE PLAN....When I did, everything from that point manifested in PEACE! Complete Peace of mind and being. And this energy was contagious! Everyone that came into contact with me on that morning, could not help but to be calm and at peace, doctors, nurses, everyone. Even after the doctors determined I would need an Emergency C-section...EVERYONE moved in PEACE! My beautiful baby girls, Nailah & Najiyah were born December 6, 2014 at 26 weeks gestation right before the noon hour ♥ Nailah weighed 2 pds. 1oz. & Najiyah weighed 1pd. 14.5 ozs. The are teaching me what it means to not take LIFE for granted! I am HUMBLED to be used as the vessel for such POWERFUL & MIRACULOUS souls to come through!! Although life with babies in the NICU is a major test of FAITH and DISCIPLINE of EMOTIONS, I GIVE THANKS and accept this TEST with as much GRACE & HUMILITY as i possibly can! Now at 28 weeks gestation, Nailah weighs 2pds 2 oz., and Najiyah weighs 2pds. 5ozs. They are both doing great and exemplifying the divine power and perseverance they possess. :-) They have changed my life FOREVER....AS EACH OF MY CHILDREN HAVE.
