Thurs Apr 10 update: Tomorrow marks two weeks home and Kais progress is amazing. Even the physical therapist that evaluated him today said so. And she was just going off paperwork... diagnosis & referals. :-) Kai walked into the appointment and surprised her. She expected to have to help him walk. And she tried to take his shoes off for him, and he shocked her by doing it himself. The results of the eval showed he has full range of motion in everything, and just needs strength & stamina. Hallelujah! His PT treatment plan is for one hour sessions twice a week. Yesterday was his speech evaluation. We were blessed to see his previous speech pathologist. She said his vocabulary had actually grown since she saw him last. His ST plan is for one hour per week, same as before surgery. :-) Yesterday Kai also attended Awanas for the first time in 4 months. His classmates were happy to have him back. He sang, painted and played basketball. If all that wasnt good news enough, last night was the first night Kai didnt have to have g tube feeding. Yep, he ate enough during the day he didnt need it. And today is the same. Woohoo! Its been a busy, but good week. My prayer request tonight is for his g tube site to heal. There is some granulated tissue as result of the button change last Fri, and its sore. Thank you all again & Lord bless! To God be the glory.
